Land Train Driver – Full Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Land Train Driver to join our team in Llandudno. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers along designated routes while delivering an excellent customer experience.
You will work closely with the Land Train Guard to ensure smooth operations, assist passengers with boarding, and support ticketing and payments. This is a front-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people and working as part of a small, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the land train safely in line with designated routes, the UK Highway Code, and company policies
- Assist passengers with boarding and provide a welcoming, friendly service
- Support the Guard with ticket sales, fare collection, and cash handling
- Carry out routine vehicle checks, cleaning, and refuelling
- Complete required maintenance and safety checklists
- Report any faults, maintenance issues, or health & safety concerns
- Ensure the train is securely parked and stored at the end of each day
- Comply with all health & safety regulations at all times
- Undertake any additional duties as required
- Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence with PCV Category D entitlement
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a PCV driver
- No driving restrictions or endorsements
- Compliance with Part VI of the Transport Act 1968
- Aged 25 or over (due to insurance requirements)
- Flexible availability, including weekends and bank holidays
- CPC not required

Salary
Starting from £15.00 per hour
